The pin diameter on this unit is three eighths of an inch, the extension, is how far it extends from the body, that's going to be an inch and a quarter. The body length measuring edge to edge this direction is two inches. The body width is one and on eighth of an inch. more

It's going to feature the easy to use latch mechanism, so when you slide your handle down in this area right here, it's going to hit this raised portion, and that's going to automatically close the latch when you drop the handle into place. The unit does feature a spring-loaded lever that ensures that the handle will stay in place even if the device is left unlocked. It features a small slot, right here in the latch, that allows you to attach something to the lock for easier grip when opening the unit. This type of lock is a lot more secure than a standard hasp with a padlock. It cannot be as easily unbolted from a trailer like a hasp, and it cannot be as easily cut like a padlock. So if you're looking for something that offers more security, this would be a great option for your trailer. Also, it's going to come with two keys. more

We'll measure the overall length, you'll see that it is going to give us that 36 inch measurement. This system can be used on either the left or right hand side of the door. All you'd need to do is flip it around, and then you can still mount everything the same. No hardware is included, so keep that in mind, that you will need to purchase mounting hardware in order to get this set up correctly. Everything that you see here is included--you're going to get the bar, the hinges are already on there, the handles are already on, and then you get everything that you need to mount to the door, to lock the handle in place. more

When it is put together using the Master Lock Hinged Shackle Padlock, Part Number 970DPF, which is sold separately, it will make it pretty hard to attempt to pry or cut on to the lock. It is designed for use on an enclosed trailers, vans, trucks. It can be used on gates and vending machines and I'll just give you the measurements on this. more
